Oklahoma Gold holds on to top Team Georgia

WILBURTON, Oklahoma -- Team Georgia scored three runs in the top of the seventh but Oklahoma Gold held on for an 8-7 victory Monday night in the late game at Eastern Oklahoma State College.

The loss dropped Team Georgia to 2-5 at the Junior Sunbelt Classic with two games left before Wednesday's finals. They will play Arizona at 12:30 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, then face Oklahoma Blue at 3 p.m. (ET). Both games will be played at Mike Deak Field in McAlester. Arizona is the tournament's only undefeated team at 7-0.

Team Georgia rallied from an 8-4 deficit with three runs in its half of the seventh. They left the bases loaded when Oklahoma Gold got a pop fly to right field to end the game and preserve the shutout.
